Contemporary Ranch Kitchen

Although the homeowners were happy with the kitchens’ open concept, the location of their appliances and inefficient storage presented a kitchen that lacked function. In addition, the clients were unhappy with the overall southwestern style and lack of efficient task lighting. They desired to have a more functional use of space with an updated modern look. Since the kitchen is open to the rest of their home, proper ventilation of cooking odors was a large concern. Their current downdraft system wasn’t performing as well as they had hoped. They wished to seek a better method for removing odors from their kitchen. In addition, the client’s fireplace felt odd and disconnected from the kitchen.
