Ricardo Almanza

Design Manager

Ricardo was recruited in 2014 to lead Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling’s dynamic design department. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in architecture, interior design and management. Since graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Design, Ricardo has worked consistently as a designer accruing experience in all aspects of architecture including drafting, design, surveying, client interview, municipal code applications, construction management and even a little experience with a tool belt on job sites. He has worked extensively with both residential and light commercial properties. He even spent several years as a designer and department manager for a ballistics company; a niche market that requires a high level of detail and accuracy. Ricardo is a people person putting his heart into his work and striving always to provide a positive experience for clients, coworkers and trade partners. His amazing communication skills and warm personality make him a natural teacher and leader. As our Lead Designer, he assimilates clients’ ideas into design concepts that integrate eclectic style, practicality, durability and cutting edge products. As the design manager, he coordinates with all departments to insure we maintain realistic timelines and manages workflows for balanced, consistent workloads.
