“Which way should we go? We can’t stay here forever.”
Hello! We hope you and your family are well as we enter into the second month of Sheltering-In-Place. We understand how difficult this time can be for many people. We are all experiencing rapid changes in our social, work, and family lifestyles. For some, these changes pose huge mountains to climb. For others, it is merely a meadow that we need to methodically navigate. We all see and respond to change differently. These thoughts and words reminded me of this photo of my boys while on a family vacation in New Zealand back in 2014.
We hope that travel and vacations will once again be a normal part of our lifestyle in the near future. However, we are currently experiencing life at home more than ever. On a personal level, we have our sons at home finishing up their college academic year virtually via the internet, like so many other students. Finding places to focus on your studies, work, or facetime calls and meetings can sometimes be difficult when your home is at full capacity. We have converted our dining room into the home library.
You may be experiencing some of the same issues that require changes to your home. We are currently planning and designing kitchen, bathroom, and entire home renovation projects at this time. Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling is open, and we have implemented virtual meetings into our daily activities as we navigate through the sheltering in place order. Please feel free to reach out to us with questions pertaining to your home renovation project. We would like to help you and provide these consultations for free. Call us at 530-758-5321.
The Covid-19 State of our Company
IN THIS TOGETHER: It has been a challenging time for everyone throughout the last several weeks as we are navigating the uncharted waters of Sheltering-In-Place (SIP) orders throughout the world. My heart goes out to everyone that has been affected by the current pandemic as it begins to reach its pinnacle in our part of the world. I am truly thankful for all of those who are working on the front lines and putting themselves at risk during this battle. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
SOCIAL DISTANCING AT PROJECTS: Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling, like many small businesses throughout the region, is doing everything we can to assist in the battle against the Corona Virus. Being in the home construction industry and deemed essential, we are keeping our crews busy and adapting to the social distancing recommended by the CDC. Our office is closed to the general public, but the business is still open and we are working on projects that have been in the construction phase for some time.

CURRENT WORK: Fortunately for our company, we were able to get many of our projects to a comfortable condition for our clients to hunker down in during the SIP order. Currently, our crews are working on exterior projects, or in unoccupied homes and are practicing social distancing. We keep our vans stocked with cleaning products and if we enter an occupied home, we practice social distancing and disinfect the work areas when finished.
DESIGN AND FUTURE WORK: Our design staff is adapting to working from home and using video conferencing and/or phone calls to conduct our sales and design meetings, and keep our construction crews supported with project information during the SIP order. We are beginning to get an uptick in remodeling inquiries as people are using their homes 24/7 and finding they need to make some changes to their living situation. We are taking in initial consultations via video conferencing, photographs, and/or phone calls and are able to provide our potential clients with design and construction budgets for their scope of work.
